In 1965, late Shri Ram Meghe Saheb, ex-education minister of Maharashtra laid foundation stone of Vidarbha Youth Welfare Society at Amravati. He started Mahila Arts, Commerce College at Chandur Rly on 27th August 1991 with the aim of empowerment of women in rural area.
To use the educational and physical courses available with in the institution for the creation of skilled, disciplined, well educated and rational society of
high moral standing encougroge women's education is not a complete ambition but they shall become self - confident, to live respectable and prosperous life.
